SOUTHERN CHRISTIAN ATHLETICS
Our vision is to fulfill the ultimate mission, equipping students to be salt and light for God’s glory, by developing Christ-like character through the pursuit of excellence in competitive athletics. Southern Christian Athletics’ programs will promote an environment where the entire SCA community, on the field of play, on the sidelines, or in the stands, demonstrates Christian character, conduct and patriotism. We seek to integrate a biblical worldview on and off the athletic field.
OUR STORY
Welcome to Southern Christian Athletics! We are an athletic organization that strives to provide exceptional sports programs to homeschool families. Southern Christian Athletics (SCA) is an all-volunteer non-profit 501-c3 established in 2020 to provide competitive athletic opportunities at the junior high and high school level (ages 11-18) to homeschoolers in the East Alabama and West Georgia area. Private Christian school students whose school does not offer sports are also eligible to play with SCA.
We understand the importance of community in homeschooling, which is why we provide opportunities for families to connect, support each other, and form lasting friendships. We are dedicated and committed to helping each athlete reach their full potential, both athletically and spiritually, through the integration of faith into our sports programs. Join us! Our mission as an organization is to develop and promote Christian ideals among student-athletes through athletic competition. Our mission as a team and as individuals is to use the talents and abilities that God has gifted us with to bring glory and honor to Him as we seek to play competitive sports.
